Assuming it is a serious question ,
1 - engine sucks in clean air with proper air/fuel ratio as the piston drops
2 - engine squeezes the air and fuel as the piston rises
3 - engine ignites (BANG!) fuel at top, driving the piston down
4 - engine blows out burnt dirty air and burnt fuel as piston rises
My Shop teacher taught me that in grade 8, 45 years ago
