While I don't own a Vulcan I am here to help a buddy get his running again. I am hoping to gather some knowledge on this machine to assist in my task and get another ride back where he belongs...riding.

FWIW I ride a 2007 Triumph Daytona 675 and am currently restoring a 1974 Honda CB750.

He has an 03 1600 Classic that has some sort of starter issue. Both of us are career Navy guys so we are on the opposite side of the state from you.

Yeah literally almost the whole width of the state. As soon as I saw "Navy" I thought well you must be out in Norfolk area.
