I would recommend making a cardboard mockup the size of the bags and hold it up to your bike to see what you think. I did this for both the LN and MU bags. I thought the MU bags were a good size but the LNs were too small. As I recall, the LNs are about the same dimensions as the Saddlemen bags I used to have, but the teardrop shape of the LN cuts off some of the storage space. Here's a picture of the Saddlemen bags I'm talking about (Express Drifter Slant Jumbo) so you have a starting point:

In the end, you're the one who'll be paying for them so if you like them that's what's important.

curious did this ever come about? did you ever get the quick release installed? I just got some strong bags with no hardware and looking for a way to attach them.

I got the regular bags without quick release. The brackets are kind of expensive on their own. You could probably get a metal shop to make you some cheaper. Let me know if you want measurements and pictures.

Please I would absolutely love that. I think my dad could possibly make me some.

I thought I already had at least one somewhere but I guess not. I have to work all day tomorrow so I'll get them as soon as I can.

Does anyone have the Vinyl/"Leather" strong bags? I am very seriously considering these for my '12 900 Classic. I would love to see pictures up close of the vinyl work. And how close does the colour match to the stock seat?

VicFlo,

These are the brackets that Tsukayu sent with the bags. Let me know if you need anything else. "Top" refers to the part that attaches the brackets to the bike and "Bottom" refers to the where the bags attach to the brackets.

The top portion is 5 3/4" long and 1/2" wide:

The bottom part is 3 7/16" long and 5/16" thick:

The joint between the two is 1 3/4" thick:

thanks a lot in my own impatience i have made my own not so pretty ones but I will see if my pops can mill some up like these. I absolutely love these bags. now I just need new locks and to fix up the paint and scratches. For about $100 I can't complain.
