I replaced my rear tire for a bridgestone after 10 k miles. Front was "good" up to 26k miles. During that period I had different brands front and rear, until I swaped the front a bridgestone. Now the excedra max seems different that the excedra I'm running.. Wich is G 702 I believe...

I currently have a Avon Cobra 180 on the rear. I need a new front tire and have been thinking about going Cobra for the front though I would prefer Michelin Commander II. How do I tell what is radial and what is bias ply?

I do not have much experience with mc tires so once the original dunflops were done, I went ahead and bought front/back tires.

I got a good price on on shinkos and cannot tell the difference between them and dunlops.

I'm sure there are superior tires just like oil and every one has an opinion and a preference.

I choose to change them both out even if one looks like it has more life to go.

I have a 2008 900 that I just got, with about 5100 miles on it. It seems there is a wide range of miles on the Dunlops before people have replaced them. On average any idea how many miles before changing them? I am planning on doing a long distance ride this summer, and even though the dunlops still look ok, there is the extra concern of having tube tires compared to tubeless. Any thoughts on that concern? I imagine the new tires you have put on are tubeless, correct?
