A local company just finished a prototype luggage rack for my Vaquero. The unique part about it is that it mounts with the saddlebag bolts, so you dont need the Kawasaki bracket to mount it. The rack also slides forward and back so it will clear the Kawasaki backrest but when you take the backrest off you can slide it forward to look a little cleaner. There are a bunch of different designs you can get cut for the top, and underneath the top there is a stainless plate that really looks nice. Oh, and it only takes a few minutes to install; pull the bag bolts out, slide the sides in and put the bag bolts back in, then bolt up the top part of the rack.
They arent listed on his website yet, but if you contact him Im sure he can make you one in a hurry. Dan was an awesome guy to work with, did what he said he would do and got it done quickly. The racks should be about $250. And if you wait long enough they should be in the J&P catalog.
