I must have gotten confused. The red probe to red pin readings = no movement on the meter.

I am doing these tests with the regulator on my workbench. It is not still on the bike.

OK. Your reg/rect. passes the most common catastrophic failure test, so should be good to go.

New problem. The headlight won't work on low beam. High beam is ok but the low beam is a no-go. I have inspected the bulb and it appears ok. Any idea what might be the problem? If the charging system is not working properly, could that be the problem?

Sometimes eyeballing those bulbs is not good enough. You will have to meter it.

It could very well be the bulb. I have power at the battery. I have power at the fuse which tested good. I have power at the switch on the handlebars to both the red wires, one for low beam and one for high beam, depending on which position the switch is in. So I have power leaving the switch and going to the bulb. I have to pull the fairing & windscreen to get to the headlight and I will get to that tomorrow. Thanks again for your help sfair.

I pulled the bulb and did a close inspection with a bright light and a jeweler's loupe. Both filaments were intact and the bulb looked perfectly fine. I tested the socket and it tested fine. So I bought a replacement bulb (Sylvania Silverstar Ultra 9003/HB2 H4, $24.95 @ Autozone) plugged it in and my problems were solved.

Thanks again for help sfair.
