Illinois riders

Schaumburg area here, right now my bike is apart getting a rear tire, chain service, and coolant pipe leak fixed. Yesterday my hands just about had frostbite after my ride.

Can anyone recommend nice 1-2 day trips in the Chicago area

It depends if you want a good Ride and a scenic adventure, or want to walk part of your Trip to do some collectivly window shopping or a Historic adventure. You may already been in the Galena territory of Illinois or traveled North through Wisconsin following the Mississippi River to LaCross. Then cross over the Big River, go South on the River Road to Dobuque Iowa. Cross back over the Big Rive, at Dubuque, go South, you'll be headed for Home and the Galena Territory. I can not begin to tell you how beautiful that country is for Riding on two wheels. Waukon Iowa, Stony Creek Inn would be the overnite stop. You could just do the Galena Territory and do two days. Its unbelievable, whats available in this area, even approx. 30 miles South of Galena on the River Road to Savanna, Illinois, and the Famous Poppies. Check out web sites for information. Ride Maps available. I could go on forever about this country. Stage Coach Trail, Scales Mounds to New Diggins Wisconsin, Elizabeth Illinois, Galena Territory, Northeast Iowa the Driftless area, Effigy Mounds and Prarie Du Chein. ENJOY!!!

Gurnee, IL checking in. I usually ride in SE Wisconsin anyone around this area that wants to ride sometime in the upcoming season PM me and well get up together and plan a ride Im on the bike every weekend from april to the end of november.

I live in Beecher City IL and alsoide to alton and grafton and down to the shanee national and cave in rock goo sites nd eats . Like to eat at fast eddies and take the river run to the farrie outside grafton Nice ride go with family on weekends. IL Vaquero
