I started riding in the late 70'S, my first bike was a 350 RD caf Racer. I rode motorcycles till the early 90's then sold my last bike which was a 454 . I just finished going thru surgery and stopped smoking, SO I figured I would buy me a bike as a reward . We where out shopping for used bikes at yamaha was looking at a road star and my wife seen this dirty gunked up bike and asked the sales guy the price. I could not refused for the price, I could see it was a nice bike and was taken care of so I bought it

Nice looking bike!

I like those bars from the 900 custom!

Is your wife riding with you?? If so, you will be looking for a new seat soon! That stock 900 seat is worse than a brick.

Have to look again but I think the seat was already replaced with a look a like. She rode on it several times and never complained. Have to ask and what would you replace it with.

I am pretty sure that is the stock seat. I have never seen any aftermarket that looked exactly like the stock.

I put the Kaw gel seat on my 900. It was much better for my wife because the pillion area is several inches wider, but I didn't fell much difference.
Sorry, I don't have a better pic of the gel seat.

I know a lot of people like Mustang. But, I cannot comment on them; as I have never ridden on one.
