Default 2004 kawasaki nomad 1500 fi - idle solenoids removal

to those nad owners who have converted to aftermarket pipes, fuel management systems and new airboxes i have a question. did you remove the idle solenoids and plug or remove the hose to the reed valves? did you also plug the 2 nipples that used to connect to the said solenoids. now i come to find that with dropping weather temps that the initial bike warm-up is much longer, more smokier - running rich. please help me to correct this setup if need be or any advice would be appreciated.
