Almost impossible to say since there could be sales or different pricing at different stores.

Just have to check around what's in your area.

Cool Oil types and sizes

Where are you all seeing oil by the gallon? It s either quarts or the absurd 5qts jug around here....and Valvoline V max part synth is $17 or so for 5 qts.
I would be amazed if the fancy high priced oils are any better than the basic name brands....

I realize this is a VN500 thread, but a 5qt jug is just right if you happen to have a VN2000.

$17 for 5 quarts???? What is there to complain about?
Like I posted "said" earlier. I buy mine from the local dealer. Oddly enough on every other oil change, so far, I have to add oil maybe I am just rushing the fill of the oil filter when I start the motor. I pay $20 for the gallon jug, your price is cheaper and on top of that after 4 oil changes you already have enough oil for the next change just need the filter......

Just saying, not hating............
