sorry its a 1996 vn800a
problem im facing is previous owner did something lol. wires are cut some switches have no power supply. there were neons and they were tapped into wrong way. grounds are just wrapped around metal. lots of extra wiring etc. just trying to figure out where it all goes. most of wire harness is intact. no gauge cluster or anything so those wires are cut and wanna make sure i have no shorts before putting a battery on the bike. picked it up for a steal and wanted another project.

I'll try to take some camera phone pics and email you the wiring diagrams from the pages of my OEM Factory Service Manual and the Supplement if you need that too. PM'd you my email address so hit me back on that.
I picked up an almost new harness off eBay for about $10 and it fit and worked perfectly. Found this one on eBay for you.
