Yep, same here. But I don't always have bubble wrap lying around, or styrofoam, or other such things. $9 might be a smidge on the high side for packing materials and would assume he bought everything, including the box, but I don't think it's absolutely unreasonable. (Although I bought my highway bar off of a forum member who sent it in an odd shaped box he had lying around and wrapped it in old rags held together with masking tape! Hey, it worked!)

The only box I have had to buy was one for a wheel and tire I shipped. I couldn't find a suitable box and wanted it to be very sturdy, so I bought a box at the UPS store and cut it down and folded it over so it very snugly fit the wheel and tire (which was sandwiched between cuts of cardboard and wrapped in bubble wrap). Shipped it across the country and the buyer reported no damage! I think I footed the bill for that box, but, that was something bought for a couple hundred bucks and shipped for around $50 anyway. Paying for shipping or supplies on something you sell for $25 hardly makes it worth it!

Yeah. I know what ya mean. I sold a seat and sissy bar on this site and shipped it in a Lays Potato Chip box and stuffed full of local trading papers. I actually have a box upstairs in the attic that I throw all of my used bubble wrap and packing material in (stuff that gets set to me and so forth) and re use it when the time is needed. But I don't think I could complain over a few extra bucks when you get a good deal on something

Default really?

seeing as how thats what the online calculator told me for shipping, thats what i went by, i actually only marked it up a couple bucks for shipping materials. dont know where the hell $6.30 came from. i could have gave it to you for the original price and it would have been higher. if you dont like it or arent happy send the damn thing back. i didnt even ship it since i work 12 hour days, someone did it for me. seems to me that the price you got it for is alot cheaper than anywhere else or you wouldnt have bought it. and you were happy to pay it. dont try to talk trash in a forum, that just shows how little you actually thought about it. if you arent satisfied, send it back and ill refund your money after i receive the part. other than that i dont need to hear another damn thing about it. if im selling something and you offered $1000 more than asking i wouldnt sell it to you now, so if im selling something you want dont bother, i dont have time for b.s.
