So I found myself in Eastern Iowa and made an 90 mile detour to go past J&P Cycles and the National Motorcycle Museum.
The folks at J&P were super and that place is crazy with the parts they stock on the showroom floor. Good thing the debit card has a limit or I would be homeless.
The National Motorcyle Museum is just down the road and you can pick up a $1 off coupon at J&P. For $7 (with discount, $8 without), I was completely overwhelmed at the history on display. Everything from EARLY examples of 2 wheeled transportation to the lastest, greatest and famous. There is an Evel Kneivel bike, the only documented Captain America bike from Easy Riders, the Von Dutch built VW bike, and Steve McQueen's Blob. The story behind that was interesting.
I took some pictures but they were with the phone and not the best.
If you get a chance, make sure to swing by there and allot some time because there is a TON to see! It was definitely worth the 90 mile detour!
