Someone will have to explain how that fixed your problem. I was under the impression that the crancase was vented to atmosphere in which case it cant be vapor locked. Glad it worked but I dont see how.

This all reads like an episode of "twilight zone" very very strange.

You may have somehow starved the top end of oil (lifters ticking) but to call it vapor lock is not a correct diagosis. Gas will vaporize under heat and pressure but I have never heard of oil doing this. Anyway, I hope the problem is corrected.

Well, whatever you call it, the people who had it happen to them posted it on the net, and their solution worked! Up and running, and never a problem since!
