any one try one of these fenders befor?

so im looking at getting about a 4000 dollar loan to do a overhaul on part on the v2k. mainly paint and body work as well as some dress up crome. i was wondering if any one has put one of these fenders on before?

i think they look amazing on out bikes but i was wanting to know what i might run into with this as far as what ima have to drill out and what i can exspect fitting it. i need it to fit my rear subframe becase i do ride 2 up aa good deal from time to time and no/or weak rear subframe means thats not going to happen. so ideas or imput would be helpul guys....thanks.

Check this pic out. I found it one Dennis Kirk's web site. It shows it installed on a V2K. It looks like they utilized all the existing hardware.

what i would really like to do is get this fender set up with a set of like 03 nomad saddle bags and bracket. i think this fender with those hard bags would look so sexy. at least the image i have in my mind. id like to keep my bags i have on there they are pretty nice but im unsure on how well the studded hard leather bags would look with it all.

I read somewhere about putting nomad bags on a V2K. I just do not remember if it was on here or another site. I would like to get a set for mine, or at least hard bags but its just not in the budget right now.

you could have a body shop make you a custom one for about the same. I had mine smoothed and built the license plate in with run turn and brake.

Actually,

it's possible Sarge and I are the ONLY ones who have done that with the Stock V2K fenders.

I've never seen any pic of anybody else doing it.

(Sarge, I recon that a payback for the chrome wheels..)
