I was a Chevy mechanic at a dealership back in late '68 and early '69.
I used to get brand new '69 Z-28s right off the truck! Pretty nice kick for an 18 year old kid to get to be the first to drive these. Throw in a few 396 Novas and even a ZL-1 Camaro (with an all aluminum 427) and it got even better!
I did watch with horror as a delivery truck driver, trying to back a new Z-28 off of the truck, completely trash the clutch in a little over 5 minutes!
Now them's some cars , ZL-1's were vary limited to the public plus they were pricy for 60's money. I had a 68 SS 396 Chevelle that was too much fun , the DOT thought so too LOL they relieved my of my licenses for a while.
I also had a 67 Chevy II with a factory 283 /power glide that ran good , better when I swapped it out for a 350hp 327 and a turbo 400 with a full manual valve body Those were the days , you could find hot engines used in the paper for $100 - $200 all the time , swap it out on a Saturday and cruise that night

The ZL-1 option alone was over $4500 if I remember correctly, making the Camaro more expensive than a 427 Corvette. I think the ZL-1 sat unsold on our lot for around four or five months. You couldn't touch it for a million today!

A funny side story: I worked second shift. The dealership closed at 9 pm, but the service shop stayed open until 12:30 am. The employes were supposed to use the parking lot about a block away, but I used to park my car at the very back of the used car lot so I didn't have to walk as far. The used car sales manager always used to rag me about parking there, saying that nobody wanted to see a car that old on the lot.
My car was a jet black '57 BelAir 2 door hardtop in pristine condition.
I wonder if they'd throw it off the lot these days. It's a lot older now! lol

So, it's at the shop. What would you like us to do? We are all waiting breathlessly for the prognosis, and making idle conversation in the meantime. This thread wandered off because you gave us zero information when you started it.

At least all of this meaningless conversation is keeping it at the top of list. Just think of it as some free bumps.

Here's a timeline:
Nov 12th- OP first posted with vague information.
Nov 14th- OP re-appears with additional info, and receives some replies.
OP later reveals that he had already taken his bike to the shop
on the previous day. (Nov 13)
Nov 15th- OP annoyed that his thread has been "hijacked"
