The Vulcan 500 is a parallel twin and the 800 is a V-twin. The carbs
come off the rear of the cyl. on the 500 where as the 800 comes from between the cyl.
I can get a picture of the air box for you but I don't think it will work for you.

Do you still have the bike and are you still parting it out? I just purchased a 1995 500EN with some damage done to the exhaust and was looking to replace it. Do you know if the exhaust from a 1998 Vulcan 500EN will fit a 1995?

I still have the bike but don't think the parts will fit. You'll have to ask
someone that knows for sure. I think they changed over in 96. If you find
