Another thing, this is what will keep happening as long as the radical moderates stay in control of the Republican Party. With good choices, like Herman Cain or Michelle Bachman, available instead the radical moderates pushed unelectable choices like McCain and Romney. I remember 1980 very well. The radical moderates told us we needed John Anderson or George Bush in order to beat Jimmy Carter. We didn't listen and nominated Ronald Reagan. In 2008 George Bush was elected and after that we got Klinton. After eight years of another George Bush, we got Obama. When will conservatives learn?
But who can conservatives run? It's the young, twitter vote now. Do we have to get a rap star to run? Someone young and good looking?
Experience, morals, values (except radical), and honor no longer matter; it's just how cool you come across on TV.
Conservatives like to run quality people. If we have to give that up to get elected, what are we to do?

I wasn't sure if it was a joke or an ignorant American remark. We do have a comedy show (Talking to Americans), where most of the people being talked to think Canada is a state. Although I was asked several times at work if I would be voting.
I was kinda being humourous, as I believe Canada can stand on it's own, like some of you have mentioned Texas can.
How can anyone honestly feel that severe changes were not needed to our leadership?
My concern was, with all of Romney's flip flopping there was just no way of knowing [which] Romney I would have as leader. And those who do know the guy (people in his own state, his father's state, his running mate's state) used their knowledge of the man and didn't give him their vote.
Being a life-long resident of the "Nati'....I surely thought Ohio had a chance to be a HERO in the election, being: "The state that had to be won to get elected!" But, Noooooooo....Ohio & especially Hamilton county must have a greater share of "Morons" that anyone had thought! I may move West to Indiana, not only because of this election....there's alot better riding over in Indy anyhow!!....Hang-on!!, its gonna be reeeeeal bumpy ride now folks!!

KY might be better than IN.
Funny how Hamilton Co. includes Indian Hill, where you can bet that not a single dem vote came from there.
Where are you in the 'Nati"?

Reagan was the oldest man to ever run for president when all of youngsters voted for him in 1980. Why does it have to be someone young? Why not someone like Herman Cain? Ron Paul is not exactly young, although he is not who I have in mind at all.
We gave up quality the last two times and went with McCain and Romney. I am saying we can and must do better.
