Question about tires and wheels

Change of mind here. It looks like you've pretty much got that puppy as accessorized as it can get short of ridiculous performance mods. On second thought, go for the custom rims if you can afford them. Maybe you can't really see them rolling down the road, but at a stop, you can show them off, as much as they can be shown off. And it sounds like you enjoy modding up the bike, so just count it as Christmas present to yourself, just for the satisfaction of having some nice wheels. Call it bragging rights. That season is about on us, so, HO, HO, HO!!

I've actually thought about getting another bike, just for a new project.

"Gently" used 900's are not very expensive, and have a LOT more aftermarket items than the V2K does. It would give me something to tinker with..

Nothing wrong with that. I have actually played with the idea of getting my "Wife" a sport bike. And by that I mean having a light nimble bike around for when I feel like tossing one around. I still get that wild hair from time to time the V2K can't cure. But I am too close to saving up enough money to pay off some other debts (mostly her car and the V2K) I don't want to prolong those payment any more and just get rid of them.
