I have been wanting to get my CHP for a while. I took a trip on the bike and didn't really have a place for my favorite 9mm.
I think I am going to ask for a Taurus 709 Slim for Christmas.

Hey Scott, how's the housing market down there?

Those of you just now preparing to lock and load have a lot of catching up to do. I made the mistake of looking up this morning and discovered the top of the vortex is much higher and it's starting to get dark. Although I hope for the best, I'm in fear of the worst and it is all thanks to the ignorant and uneducated.

I'm looking to move to a place that can be able to stand on its own if necessary, maybe TX or AZ, somewhere that can secede and function independently when the time comes.

When looking for a place that can stand on its own, consider water. Arizona hasn't got a lot of it outside of the Colorado River. Not that I am moving. I will just take what comes and fight when I have to because it is forced on me, not a moment sooner.

Edit: Hey, don't forget, THEY* are watching these sites and our posts.

We never took the hit that other places did. But, the market here has always been more reasonably priced.

I took advantage of the 5 to 10 % downturn and bought a (new to me) house in 2009; I kept my old one as a rental. If the market goes up I may sell but I have a feeling that I will still be letting someone else make the payments for a while longer.
At least until the Occupiers make their run on the property owners.

As far as being able to stand on its own; I think Texas and Alaska are your best bets.

Politically TX is the only state that retains its right to secede from the Union though.

I have said for a while now; that Greece style riots will not be pretty in the U.S.
I love our 2nd amendment, but when our Government can no longer afford to write welfare checks to the able bodied; our borders will be re-defined.

RBS2; What makes you think Canada can secede????

Old Syko; I am ready for the Zombie Apocalypse! And Zombies will be better suited for a fight!

Another thing, this is what will keep happening as long as the radical moderates stay in control of the Republican Party. With good choices, like Herman Cain or Michelle Bachman, available instead the radical moderates pushed unelectable choices like McCain and Romney. I remember 1980 very well. The radical moderates told us we needed John Anderson or George Bush in order to beat Jimmy Carter. We didn't listen and nominated Ronald Reagan. In 2008 George Bush was elected and after that we got Klinton. After eight years of another George Bush, we got Obama. When will conservatives learn?
