In July I bought a new 2011 Nomad 1700 what a change from my old Yamaha 1100 v-star. I find the handling and power much more superior .

I have never rode a 1700 Nomad but I have a 1600 Nomad. The 1100 is no comparison. I had a 99 1100 V-star custom. Welcome aboard and hope you have been enjoying the Nomad.
