I have removed the bolt, and have pulled backward with some force, but no luck. Anybody got any tips??? I am trying to remove the seat, and having a very difficult time :-(
Well, I got to tell you , don,t know if mine is different or not ,but the 8mm will not go near it . too big . . I bought an 8mm tap and it would not even start in the threads . I am going to try a 6mm to see how that does .
Pull harder. It is tight fit. Just wait. Putting it back on is just as much fun. Only in reverse. I stand directly behind mine, and pull firmly rearward, and maybe a little downward, using both hands. Good Luck.
Thanks
I can move it side to side so I felt like WD40 wasn't needed. I have pulled pretty hard backward, matter of fact I was afraid I was going to knock the bike down since I pulled so hard. Will give it round 2,round 1 went to the bike.
Stand beside gas tank, put both palms on the rear part of front seat and lean into it with your body pushing down and back at the same time. The bottom of the seat in the center, 1/2 way back, has 2 hooks that engage a bracket on the fender. The hooks are in line with the strap that goes along the rear protion of the seat. See photo. These are what is holding it.
