    Hi David,
Would you be able to email me your maps? I've got Cobra Tri-Ovals, a PCV 17-033 and should get my Thunder Big Air Kit delivered any day now. Any suggestions about modifying for less humid and cooler Indiana temps would be greatly appreciated, too. My email is bobiu72@yahoo.com. Thanks much for your help!

Hey David, I wanted to update you on the Map that was sent to me by the vendor I bought the PCV from. Supposedly setup for a 1700 with K&N and slip ons. As I said it looked rich to me but I loaded your map and road about a 1k miles. Very nice but just a pop coming off throttle around 2500 rpm in 3rd gear. Other than that is was very smooth throughout. The other map I loaded and the bike ran terrible! Major hesitation at slow riding. Very fat feeling and sluggish throughout. Needless to say, I went home and loaded your map back on. The bike runs great and I, as many here thank you for helping us out.

Good day David, I noted that you run your VV 1700 with Amsoil oil. I guess, it is the 10W40 Motorcycle full synthetic? Is it right?
Most of the oil sold by motorcycle dealers in Québec city (Canada) is the Motul 5100 motorcycle half synthetic oil. The Motul 7100 or 300V full synthetic oils are quite expensive here. What advantage would I get with the AMSOIL?
    Thanks for your comments

Flatop told me to drop you a line.
AZ Voyager sent me a map for BAK and drilled out baffles which has been ok, however I was hoping to take a look at the one you developed.
The one that Thunder recominded sure had the power, But you could smell the gas and the fuel gauge dropped like a stone.

yes, there is an old thread that I made on this subject. You can see it at this link: http://www.vulcanforums.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=13241
I was able to do this because I installed the thunder air kit, this way it's out of the weather and sounds just as loud. You cannot use the factory wiring for this horn. Yes you will need to take the tank off and run a heavy gauge wire to the relay that comes with the horn. I did use the factory wiring to the stock horn to trigger the relay. A diagram comes with this to show you how to do it There or other threads that show pictures where the horn was mounted where the stock horn is. Just do a search on air horns and you should find them. If you need help just let me know.

Hey David, I see you have a Stebel horn from the description of your bike. I have a VV and wanted to know where to mount the horn. Thanks. MOV

Finally figured out how to add you..

I have been following Eric's posts. I can see that he does not know anything about motorcycles..... I just had a very good 4 day ride pulling the trailer up in the Calif mountains. I have noticed that when you never go over 50 mph it does not get hot.

We rode for 8 hours and only went 106 miles...... I was getting 52-54 mpg. Average speed was probably 25 -30.
