Cagekicker, the stripe and side decals on the SE are under the clearcoat. the base coat is flat metalic black but if you try to clearcoat with a matt clearcoat over the entire tank it will not come out even. I had to have the tank repainted.

Was wondering how you go the decals off, and if it was a shiny base coat when you did. Please let me know...really want all that crap off my bike.
