I have a picture of the assembly, but it doesn't have the detail of the holes. Are you referring to the two holes in the bottom of the clutch lever assembly that are covered/uncovered by operation of the lever?
Note that all is well until 15 minutes into the ride - then it slips. As I understand, this symptom describes the problem you're suggesting I fix. I was wondering if I was better off getting a rebuild kit from Amazon as well as clearing one of those holes.
You had a post about 3 years ago that talked about rebuilding the master cylinder in a 1500 clutch. I've got the same problem as the OP, after a 15 minute ride (in 100* heat) I get no clutch engagement. Brand new friction plates, brand new steel plates, brand new meanie spring and Judges washers (plus, I'm using the same oil I've always used, the Rotella Dino stuff).
Can you point me to a spot where I can find out how to rebuild that master cylinder?
thanks brother appreciated greatly, bike still not resolved. i dropped the bike off for a no start buzzing condition now they want 490 for installing just the junction box only. i dont know what to do.
No, I am really having a hard time. I need your help. I have the Service Manual. I have checked the entire fuel pump circuit. I get power into the ECU but nothing goes to the fuel pump relay. What can me stopping it?
Sfair, I have worn splines on the output shaft and front pulley of my 07 VN900. Replaced the pulley with a new one and there is no looseness, but I did see wear on the output shaft splines none-the-less. So, before having the engine pulled apart to replace the shaft, I am wondering if you have ever tried any of the spine shaft repair products on the market. Specifically, AMS Machinable Repair Compound and their Spline Shaft Reair Kit. Is this worth a try or snake oil? Thanks for your time, Robert
I have a 2011 Vaquero, I just had my switches extended for my 13" ape hangers. I got everything back on, I power bike up every thing on the switches work fine but when I go to start the bike it does not prime. Please help! what can i check before taking everything apart?
I really appreciate your help on getting my bike up & running but I need a little help yet again, my 1997 Vulcan classic with 29xxx miles, I took the bike out & put 60 miles on it then parked it over night & now it has dropped the rear cylinder the exhaust air & pipe is cold, ive got spark when I checked with a plug tester but it looks faint on all 4 plugs but the front is firing and running the bike, I was at one point having issues with the grey wire at the key switch & im wondering if this would cause this problem or is there something else I need to check?, ive tested coils & they tested fine is it possible for them to work half assed? any info you can give me will be great
