Glad to help...what I did was take the original KAW SE backrest and added a 3in spacer made from 1/2" and 3/4" aluminum box stock, I fitted the smaller stock into the backrest mount and then the larger over it and the backrest then sets into it just as it would the factory mount...I also fabed the luggage rack from 1/2" aluminum tubing and a few pieces of flat aluminum stock for the side rails i used aluminum shelf brackets that I cut the tabs off of. On the lower bolts for the backrest mounts I through drilled the holes and used longer bolts that also hold the luggage rack in place. I've put my entire body weight (190lbs) on it and it doesn't give at all, carried a stuffed t-bag about 1100miles last fall and never had a problem.
