Theres a few threads around here about guys using bar mounted bluetooth transmitters for audio control. Thumb operated I believe, amd economical if I remember right. If your receiver is capable. Also think you could probably wire in some HD bar controls. Owning one myself tho, that also requires certain head units, another can of worms. Romote or Bluetooth definitely way to go. Keep us posted, I'm a bit of an audiophile. Nice job!

I'm open to suggestions for the remote, any ideas? It's a single din size BTW.

This came to mind. But it is only intended to control a phone. If you were say playing music from your phone to your receiver this would let you control the audio functions. I had thought it would work for the receiver too. But someone in the Q&A section asked and the response was NO it would not work with a receiver.

Ummm, OK - I thought you may have some electronics that may work in a motorcycle application.

Biketronics Inc has retro modules that handle interface controls from bar switches to newer receivers. I installed a complete package in my old glide.

On my vulcan my amp has a mechanical volume button I installed on my tank console so all I have to do is reach down to turn volume up or down. But no song control. I just have a big micro sd card in an mp3 player on random shuffle all the time. Way different install on that one.
