I just bought this bike - haven't been able to ride it but once - i got it to start and run after putting a new battery in it - then it died going down the road - have not been able to ride it sense - can't get it to start now - need some help here to see what i can do - not sure if its the fuel pump - or if enough pressure is getting through - but wanting to see if anyone can help me out
for starters - i cleaned out the tank - there was a bunch of rust and mud looking stuff.... that got cleaned out!!
i put it back together - now it won't start - when trying to start it - its like the injectors are not kicking on - the pump runs -
but can't get it to actually start.....
i was able to get it to start a few times and then it would cut off - but now I can't even get it to start
the FI blinks once and then three times.....
not sure if enough pressure is getting through or what can be the issue
anyone have any feedback or experience with this...
I'm thinking, if it ran and after a few miles quite, then u have blocked fuel system . First ALWAYS k. I . S . ( keep it simple ) !!! The tank was cruddy , right ???? Start at tank, make sure fuel is leaving tank . Follow line to pump, is it there ? Other side of pump ? If good to there, injectors plunged ? But I'm not certified bike guy, sure for better people on this sight !!! If u get your post numbers in you can go to 900 forum and get better info then I can give !!! Hope all works out, ride safe, ride often, have fun !!! Later brother P.s probably good idea to take tank to shop and have it cleaned to make sure ALL crud is gone, don't want this next year !!!
