What is the black resivor Behind the motor under the seat? It has a cap and everything

It's the coolant reservoir. Along side of it is a clear tube where you can see the coolant level.

+1 The reservoir tube gets cloudy over time and road dirt can make it hard to see. The tube should be visible from the right side of the bike (Rear Brake Pedal side)

I saw a breather tube that connects to it. Is it next to that?

There is a tube connected to it. It comes off the thermostat housing, up & under the tank. It's not a "Breather" though. Works the same as your car thermostat with a remote antifreeze tank.
