I see this post is about 6 months old, did you figure it out? I'll be installing a TomTomRider5 tomorrow, and will be trying to use these bullet connectors for power to it with ignition or ACC on and off when key is off.
I installed this cable and connected it to a Garmin Zumo 390 (not listed as the right model for this cable by Kawasaki). I had to run an extension from inside the fairing to my GPS.
This is not a normal audio connection. It works more like an audio over-ride. You listen to music source (I usually listen to an iPod via the Kawasaki connector) and when there is sound from the GPS (like a turn request or warning) it quiets the music and allows the GPS to be heard via the bike's fairing speakers.

There are separate accessory power connectors in the fairing that can provide power.
