Lindbys cost about a hunsky more than the others, but looks cool!! And isn't that what its all about!!

+1 on the Cobra engine guard, the clamps for the frame are beefier and cleaner looking.

I agree, looks wise, that is the best looking one due to its shape but then again due to its shape, not sure protection wise it would be as good as the others.

I also liked the "Kawasaki Fire and Steel highway bar" Roman mentioned. I might have to look into that...

I love the look of the Lindby though and also the flat point in the middle would serve as a second set of pegs! Price wise they seem to be even cheaper than "Kawasaki Fire and Steel highway bar" on Amazon.

Linby doesn't make them for the Custom....YET.
I'm actually bringing my bike up there tomorrow morning and they will be using it as their prototype to make bars for us.

The Kawasaki fire sure looks way to small to protect anything once the bike tips off. I'm not sure about it protection wise but it looks pretty cool

I have done a lot of research about the options for the crash bars some time back. About 3 years ago I finally decided to with the Kawasaki OEM bars. IMO they look cleanest, they have a nice forward curvature (something I really missed on the Cobra and other "flat" bars, they just look cheap to me - your taste may vary).

The Kawasaki bars are a nice sturdy one piece. I do not think they could have been designed better - in terms of mounting (sturdiness, no need to move the horn, or adjust anything...)

I indeed "tested" them the same season I installed them. I stupidly parked in a downward-sloped driveway at a friend's house. And I grossly underestimated the weight of the bike and the pressure that is needed to fold the kickstand back.

The bike crashed on its side and the bars probably paid for themselves at that moment already: the only damage was a slightly scratched chrome on the bar. Had I not had the bars, I would have most likely ended up replacing the tank.
