Ok, got the fender off and filed out the front holes a bit on the bottom. Reattached and am much happier with the gap. 10 minute fix at most!

I did a full 880 swap on my 09 custom to0, 180 rear and 90/90 front. The front tire rubbed at first but then quieted down and stopped after the new tire nipples wore off. Apparently they were all that was touching. Great Tires, rear leaves nice deep black burnouts.

When in trouble, when in doubt, hit the trottle scream and shout.

Not to take away from what you're saying, but I thought my rubbing was just the nibs as well, until I took the fender off last week (after 3 weeks with the tire on and noticing a thin cut down the center of the tire). I actually saw the tire was grinding away on the underside of the fender, so I filed out the front holes a bit and things are much better now.

If you don't have the same issue, great! But keep an eye on it!

I just saw this thread. I did this to my previous 900 by just removing the 4 bolts on the forks. I fabricated a bracket that was just large enough to raise the holes up by 3 quarters of 1 inch. then re bolted the fender to the bracket, and then the entire assembly back to the forks. Problem solved. I am fixin to do this again this week to my new 900.

'09 Orange Copper Custom. Debaffled, 170/80 - 15. Bags, and shield.

Gone but not Forgotten - '09 900 Custom SE. Debaffled. Avon Venom 90/90/21 front and 170/80/15 rear.
