I'm about 3 hrs north of Wichita, right up on the Nebraska border. I run to Wichita every once in a while for SCRC events. I'm soooo ready for nicer weather!!

This must be a terrrible winter if you guys can't even ride down in Kansas..What has the temperature been?

I see what you mean that is still to cold to ride for sure..Your winter must soon be over though?

We've got more snow and more cold this year than we've had in any of the 18 years I've lived here. I'm really very tired of it, grey, overcast, kinda depressing weather. I don't mind the cold so much, it's the snow that bugs me. If it's around 30 or so, no snow, dry roads, I'm riding. Usually by March the weather's pretty decent, we'll see what happens this year.

Ex-Kansas rider here, though I still make it up to Wichita occasionally. To bad they quit having those Tornado Rally's over at Big Dog on Douglas Ave.

I lived there around 15+ years before moving back to the Tulsa, OK area. I sure do miss seeing those wheat and milo fields around harvest time! WOW, what a view from the seat of a bike!

If you ever make your way around here, give a shout. I'll do the same next time I head up that way!

Oh I almost forgot, could ya keep that friggin' snow from drifting so far down this way? LOL I'm really tired of it plus the cold and ready for some riding time!

Hey guys, whats up, I'm up in White City, north east of Council Grove or about 15 miles south of Junction City as the crow flies. Went to Cassody last weekned (first time) it was pretty cool and was real nice riding weather. I ride an 04 V2k and the wife rides a new Spyder RTS. Gotta take the bug to Withita this week for the intial service. Going to Bike Night at McGraws in Manhattan tonight, anyone else up the the Junction City/Ft Riley Area.

I'm about an hour north of JC and about 45 minutes from Manhappiness. I'm down there quite a bit as I ride with a SCRC chapter out of JC. We're heading to Wichita this weekend for the SCRC regional, might get wet on the way back Sunday, but that's ok, I'll be riding:D We're heading down Friday, coming back Sunday. I'll have to miss the Thunder on the Smokey run, my oldest graduates college that day:D

Enjoyed some of the Kansas countryside last weekend... drove up past McPherson and west to WaKeeney for Th' Gatherin' celtic festival. I was AMAZED at the number of wild pheasants, and annoyed by their rampant "crowing" in the mornings, as we were camping out. LOL

Unfortunately, it wasn't a ride, as we were competing in the Scottish heavy athletics and had a lot of gear to haul, but it was still beautiful country, even if the roads were just straight... :D

Nice county this time of year now that most of the burning is over with. The pastures look like golf courses now but as the summer moves along it all will turn brown. Not sure what we are doning this weekend, looks like there could be a littel rain on Mothers Day and i have allot of stuff needing to get done outside. Would like to take the Iron horses out for a ride though, but if not we might saddle up the four legged ones and go for a slower ride and enjoy the coutryside.

We will be working in the yard and stuff on Sat and we and us and another couple are going to the casino's for mothers day. Leaving early in the AM to get there in time for the bruch, a little gambling. The weather outlook last night was pretty dry all day with a chance of rain in in the evening. pretty nice day overall though so we will be taking the bikes.

Hello to everyone in Kansas. I am currently deployed to Iraq but when I get back I will be at Ft Riley. I am looking forward to meeting up with others to do some riding. Unfortunately, when I return I will be leaving for Ft Jackson, SC in April for 10 weeks of training. So my riding in Kansas will not start until late June / early July. Hope to meet some riders on here an maybe get together after I return from SC.

Hey to all of the Vulcan riders here in Kansas. I wanted to throw this out for thought. I am interested in starting a Vulcan Riders Association Chapter in the Flint Hills area of Kansas. I have been on the website www.vulcanriders.us and I have registered. I also posted on the forum for anyone who would be interested in working with me on getting something like this going in our area. I would like to hear some feedback and see if this thing can take off. I plan on putting alot of effort into it once I redeploy back to Ft Riley next month. I look forward to anyone's comments. Thank you!!!!

Good morning to all:

I just wanted to post that I am back at Ft Riley after a 1 year deployment. I'm looking forward to meeting up with everyone in the area and planning on doing some riding. I've already got the itch and its only December. I know I've posted on here about forming a Vulcan Riders Association Chapter here in the area. Anyone who is interested please send me an e-mail at flinthillsvra@yahoo.com. I hope to make this a success and anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.
