Okay Comanche, my apologies for seeming glib & disrespectful - it seems we both need to defend our comments. Your recent posts appeared to aim at amusing others; mine were more focused on the filters/oil videos. We all have our life's experiences & it was not my intention to attack your viewpoint. My comments about respecting you as a veteran & "God Bless" were 100% serious. No offenses here; Maybe my future dialogue can be more open-minded.

It's a little bit off-topic but I cringe every time I see or hear "be more open-minded". Seems more often than not it's just a lame catch phrase for "you should think like I do".

55, no problem at all. No apologies necessary and I was just trying to be clear. We don't need to defend any position as long as it is the truth. God Bless you too.

Whoaru99, that would be true if everyone thought like you. Thus, all you accomplished was proving your assertion by showing yourself to be the very thing that you claim others are. Your comment is more a pedestrian approach to logic. Logic requires that there are at least two sides to a discussion and thus the EXACT opposite of what you tried to cleverly imply which applies in my case. Thus, my posts always share something strangely peculiar in that I do not have the habit like others to incite ongoing discord and most importantly that it has never been the case that my views are the only ones that matter. You on the other hand I have noticed are accustomed to using a DIFFERENT approach and frankly there is really no need for doing it.

I'm quite open to logical discussion, but have little tolerance for psychobabble. I'm pretty direct and to the point and that makes some people very uncomfortable. Take it for what it is, but know it's very seldom personal.

Roger that, Whoaru99. Likewise.

OK, so what filter should I buy again? Just kidding, I'm no mechanic and have never turned a wrench on my 900 (other than to tighten loose fasteners and such) and probably never will. Take mine in the the dealer to have service checks and maintenance performed. Lively discussion though and I enjoyed reading the posts.

Brought my snowmobile in to the dealer to have it all checked out and made totally ready for this winter. All fluids changed, belts, hoses, bearings, clutches, etc. checked and brought up to spec. It's going to cost me a fair bit of change but I wasn't interested in doing it myself this time around. No shame in that.

The only point I'm bummin' about is that I could have picked it up Saturday morning but didn't. This time around the weatherman was right....and we have about 12" of nice, fresh snow but my ready to rock and roll sled is locked in a shop 35 miles away.

The Supertech filters have been consistently rated as some of the best available. Of course, that depends on who is making them this week, I guess.
