Ok, I have looked and don't see where to check the oil level on my 1996 Vulcan 1500 Classic. This is my first crusier (been riding sportbikes) and have been looking for the sight glass and don't see it.
I've got a 96 1500 also. There's a sight glass on the right-hand side of the bike (right-hand as I'm seated on it). Down lown beneath the cluthc basket is correct. It may be kinda hidden by your pipes. Try getting down low and looking "up" for it.
Yeah. I have a 97 1500. Its there, where they said. Hard to find and very hard to see! I would prefer an old fashioned dip stick! Wonder if a dipstick like device can be obtained??
On my 2002 1500 Vulcan Classic there is a "site glass" on the right hand side of the bike down by the frame. Stand the bike up straight, and oil should be in the top half of the window.
I know im late to the party recently got given a 96 1500 classic and no where on the right side. had a good look and followed the photos but definitely not one there. could it be different for an Australian model
Checking thru one of my older manuals there is a picture of a "hidden", sight glass on some older models. It is located below the clutch cover, just past the brake line above the frame rail. See attachment.
it was there I had to move the brake line to find it
