New to the forums here but I've browsed quite a bit. Bought my 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic about 2 months ago and I absolutely love it. Already put on about 1000 miles. My question is where might I be able to find the Vulcan 1500 Classic (Not FI) Factory Service manual? In the past I've just used the one for the 2002 FI model but I need to look up stuff for my carbs and fuel system so I can't do that anymore.
Hi 20bbbrown,
Don't know if this helps; when I bought my VV back in 2011, I found an online site that sold a PDF download of the service manual. They claimed to have manuals for every motorcycle. I think I paid $15. That manual has been invaluable. Unfortunately, I can't remember the site but found it pretty easily via Google. Good luck with your search.
Enjoy your new ride!
Safe ride!

Thanks for the tip! I've done a lot of looking and have found manuals for the 1500 Mean Streak and 1500 Fi, but can't find the 1500 Classic, the one with carbs. I'll keep looking though!
For the 1998 Classic, you wind up buying the "base" Vulcan manual, which is the original "A" style bike. Then you buy the Classic supplement manual, which contains the same chapters, but only the information that is unique to the Classic. You wind up doing a bunch of flipping back and forth which is a bit of a pain...
I only see the supplement on eBay. But not sure if you need the 96-97 classic too or the 87-99. The 96-97 is a four speed where 98 and later were 5 speed. I think that is the correct one as it's single carb, not dual like 87-99. I see them on eBay by searching "vn1500 service manual ". Good luck!
There is a factory manual for 32.00 frees shipping or pdf manual for 4.00
just type vn 1500 repair manual
