Best thing to do is install the link and just put the seat in place and see if there any restriction in it not leveling correctly.
If your not sure. Tape a thin piece of paper underneath the seat portion where the link sticks up and then place the seat in position and sit on the seat. Then lift it off and see if the paper had any contact and how much. Go from there.

And remember, that's the stock seat they are talking about.

What get's in the way (with the stock seat) is one of the rubber mount thingies on the bottom of the seat. It has to be removed, since the bike sits close to the battery now.

The mustang seat didn't have to be modified at all.

perhaps your ultimate one either.

Wink Scrape

This bike scrapes in the corners already.
I sure wouldn't want to lower it.
Don't you guys go around corners where you live ?

Tell me about it. So far that is my only complaint with the V2K. I have played with the idea of maybe switching to pegs just to see if that will give me some more clearance.

blah, it doesn't drop the floorboards 2 inches.

It drops the back end 2 inches.

Since the seat is attached via the rear fender, it lowers the seat a bit also.

So you change the steering geometry and drop the back end 2 inches.
Hmmm.
I already scrape the exhaust pipe on hard right hand turns.
