SOLVED(it's just a battery tender hookup) - What is this plug for?

Can anyone recognize this plug? I found it last night just hanging near (or even touching the engine ) looks like it's coming from the battery area...

TIA

That looks like a battery tender hookup.

Something like this:

Yeah looks just like the connector for my trickle charger/battery optomiser. I guess the person you bought it from didn't give it to you? Easy enough to remove if you don't need it, or want to fit a new one, should just be on the battery terminals

Keep it shiny side up!

I'm thinking the same thing. Did you get the bike new or used? I'm willing to bet that if you remove the seat and/or sidecover you'll find the rest of it.

Thanks for the quick responses!

I did buy the bike used. I guess the previous owner forgot to give me his battery tender (or forgot to take the adapter off the bike)

At least there'll be less work to set up a battery tender if I ever get one.
