So I feel like I've seen at least one S on here that someone swapped the oem headlight out for a standard/round/Harley-ish headlight but for the life of me I can't find that image much less who it was.
I was looking at doing this myself with a 7" halo hi/low led and was curious what parts were used. In particularly the mounting bracket.
Anyone have any suggestions or experience.
If not I suppose I'll just pull the oem headlight and see what I might need.
I've got fork mount clamps ready for when I do mine. The easiest way is to buy these and a light with side mount screws.
As far as electrics look for a H4 globe light so you can plug straight in without adaptors or cutting.
You will also benefit by getting a light with a wedge globe "city light" fitting.
If anyone swaps their headlight and decides to part with their stock one I'd be very interested. I'm looking at mocking some stuff up but since this is my daily rider I don't want the downtime. Appreciate it!
I have swapped mine out as well, pretty simple. I did track down the connector so I did not have a cut he marker light wire, they were items KL34-6940-10 and KL34-6932 from these guys, https://www.z1enterprises.com/
Hi Diffone,
I just got my 2020 and am loving it, but I really would like to do the headlamp swap like you have done. Can you tell me where you got the bracket and light from? Cheers.
Hi! The brackets and headlight are universal and bought at a swedish website. But I guess they get there stuff from somewhere. Here are the products at the site.
Made a big difference to the bike!
Cheers from Sweden
