I would like to put a set of highway bars on a 2015 Vulcan 650 S, but I can't seem to find any for this model online or in the Kawasaki Accessories catalog. Could anyone help with this? Thanks.

LAF would you mind posting a picture of her bike with the engine guard on there? I too have been considering this one just having trouble visualizing it on the bike.
The H&B Bars looks like you have to cannibalize the upper Radiator Cowling to bolt it on. the R&G crosses in front of the Radiator. Comparing the two pictures it really looks like you have to lose part of the cowling to put on the H&B bars.
I just got a set of the R&G Racing Crash Bars and they really look nice...I think it matches the paint of my Matte Black Vulcan S. Really looks easy to install...2 separate sections the are connected at the center of the Radiator with a tapered plug that fits into both ends as they go together.

You don't have to mess with the radiator cowling to bolt it on, there is a cross brace that attaches the left and right sides above the radiator, that's about it. There are also 2 attach points on the left and right side, nothing that takes a long time, nor does it make you alter anything on the bike itself.
Thanks very much for your sharing the input, and picture of the installation; it looks great!
I myself did end up getting and installing the Hebco and Becker engine guard bars, and they do fit into existing bolt holes on the frame with no modifications necessary. Instructions and all necessary hardware were included. They join together by a steel rod at the top, and the color match with the frame is excellent.
I will try to follow up with a longer post, along with pictures of this and other accessories I have put on for the possible benefit of anyone thinking along the same lines.
If you go with the R&G buy it direct from R&G Racing in England....
Twist Throttle sells it for $415 plus S&H....
R&G Racing sells it for 197 Pounds or $282 plus S&H...(my order for Bars, Shock Tube Cover and Radiator Grill only took 3 days to get to me.)
I purchased a lot of my options directly from R&G and just place another order for Rear Axle Sliders, Kick Stand Shoe and Heel Shifter which is on Back Order and should be delivered first of Feb. +/-.
Here are two that might help...I will try to get a "Head On" shot but my bike is stored for the winter, covered and on stands so it might be not be possible.
Has anybody in Canada ordered directly from R&G? If so how was the shipping costs, the mark-up at twistedthrottle.ca seems a little bit excessive to me so I am thinking about going straight to R&G
I ordered my crash bar, a radiator grill and a shock cover from R&G and I estimated I saved about $150 over the Twisted Throttle price. A brake down is posted in another section under crash bars. What really shocked me was they shipped on Monday and I got it Wednesday.
I am also partial to the R&G bars. This thread has helped me decide on those. Havent found a radiator guard that ive liked but I shouldn't be too picky to something that will extend the longevity of the radiator.
Thought I would post some pics of the Hepco-Becker engine guards from a different perspective.
The color is a really close match to the frame, but not 100% perfect. A friend came by and commented how well they matched, so unless you point out, may not be noticeable.
My dealer installed them and it took a little over 30 minutes.
They are very sturdy, but thankfully I cannot tell you how well they work.
Hey Laf, ufans, and anyone else... can you do me a quick favor and measure the span of the Hepco crash bars end to end? I'm guessing 3, maybe 3.5 feet? Looking to know how much clearance I'd require. Thanks!!
Hepco and Becker guards are all that and a bag of chips with salsa too! They are a very close match to the frame paint and as said if not pointed out you would never notice. Pat loves them and I do too.
They are IMHO the best engine guard made for the 650 S at this time.
On the interference I do not think so. I will ask Patricia but I am sure she would have mentioned it.
I don't see how but will look and ask her to be sure.
Like I say they really match the frame tube size, and flow better then any other I have seen.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
