in the last month my bike has died a couple of times while at the stop even when it's been warmed up after a few minutes of riding, where can I adjust the iddle to increase RPMs? it drops to below 500 and sometimes dies, is there something else going on as this just started happening and it;s NOT consistent?
On the back of the air cleaner cover (or, if you're standing and looking at that side of the bike, the left side of the air cleaner) there's a little star shaped knob. That's the idle adjustment.
Had to replace the cams in my 800 a few years ago because the idle was too low. Never had a stalling issue, but had a mean sounding lope at red lights.
