My 2015 Vulcan 900 Classic LT was stolen in February and recently recovered.
The issue is, the scum bags that stole it burned off most of the rear tire tread so I need to replace the rear but not the front tire. The front tire had 4.8 mm of tread, where the rear has just three mm of tread. I read most every thread on this forum dealing with tires and think I might go with a Metzeler ME880 Marathon in the standard size of 180/70B-15 (76H) for the rear.
My question is "would I have any issues running the standard Dunlap front and the ME880 on the rear"?
The alternative would be to replace both front and rear tires but don't find the correct size 130/90-16 (67H front tire in the ME880 style, but do find it in the Metzeler ME888 Marathon Ultra. Any issues in mixing these two styles of the same brand?
