I am simply curious if anyone has used these and if the volume would be loud enough to hear through a helmet? He does use a windshield on his bike; so, the rear speakers would project back at him.
No I have not use this, but thanks for sharing! It looks pretty dang good! I'm getting about sick of the busy wires that I have to have wrapped up in the middle of my handlebars
Size matters with speakers. It's just the cruel reality of physics. More sound requires more speakers.
Those look pretty cool. But generally, you want to run as big of a set of speakers (diameter wise) as your budget and bike will allow. I'm not sure how well something that small will be heard on the highway.
Sorry, no experience with them directly! But I do like that they are one unit. Most of the speakers folks run require mounting an amp somewhere and running lots of wires.
I had a similar one in a bullet fairing on my last bike it was nice until you hit 35 then the speaker able to be heard plus taking it off to charge was a pain. Amazon does have some blue tooth speaker assemblies that do the same but that are 1000watts good luck though let us know how it goes
Yeah, my 900 came with a speaker and amp kit installed. Even with the windshield installed, I could not hear my music above 35. Crappy thing about it was dealing with the wiring and the cable constantly falling out of the phone.
I have seen the 1000 watt kits on Amazon as well. I figured the speaker I linked would be a good wireless setup that didn't need to be hardwired to the bike.

I am looking at the same ones on amazon the boss ones seem to have the best reviews and videos on YouTube and the have hard wired ( to phone) for $60 and BT for &109 cant really beat that deal plus thats with four speakers check out the boss 450 and 470 models
Here's mine for what it's worth, this was installed when I bought it too, it's on my 2008 Vulcan 900, I can hear it clearly with still some knob left at 80 miles an hour. Again not the cleanest looking set up due to the bunch of wires, which I'm sure I could do some manipulating and hiding, and install the switch properly which you can't see in these pictures, but it also came with a USB charging port. Not much Bass but I've gotten used to it.
Yes you can not really beat sena! Got that too, sometimes I do listen to music through my headset, as it is a tad bit clearer at high speeds, but when I have a passenger on, it's nice to let them hear some Jams 2. Sena customer service is the best! I bought one, and the mic boom broke about four months into owning it, they sent me a brand new pair no questions asked
I just bought one and I will let you guys know how it sounds once it gets here! They seem like a good option for those of us who want to take it off and use it elsewhere. They are waterproof and all too. It also uses its own battery so it won't drain your bike's battery if you use it when the bike is turned off... to be continued.
