Vulcan 500 seat removal
When I tried to start my Vulcan after the winter, the battery voltage was down, and I got a 'no start'. I put a charger on it, but the voltage dropped, which to me means, I need to put water in the battery, or get a new one.
Of course, I need the seat up to get at the battery, etc. The seat key would not release the seat, so I freed up and pulled on the cable, but still the seat won't release.
I pulled on the cable only. Does the outer cable shield need to be pushed against, is it a double action that is necessary?
Any suggestions? I know I will have to replace the cable, keylock, etc., but is there anything else I can do?
Can I dig out the battery overflow plastic tube, and fill the battery from there?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
